Alcoholic Writers
Submitted by m00nc0w on Tue, 07/22/2008 - 01:08.
Hey!
As my time will allow me, I will try to talk a bit about this strange and intim subject which involve well-known authors and they personal life, for now, chained to alcohol. Later I will try to document myself as much as I just can and bring up more subject related to them and they personal life. It's a controversed subject I know but I would say that maybe we should be in clear with some things cause maybe some personal incidents from their life affected some of our favorite books. Some people say that the ideea for some great fiction novels for example, come from the bottle. Could be this true? Does it really help?!
Anyhow for now, I will present just a small list of some Alcoholic Writers. Again, as my time will allow, I will be more detailed and add new authors, so stay close.
Now, here is the list:
1) William Faulkner
2) Dorothy Parker
3) Robert Lowell
4) John O'Hara
5) O. Henry
6) Sinclair Lewis
7) F. Scott Fitzgerald
8) Stephen Crane
10) Dylan Thomas
11) Ernest Hemingway
12) Edgar Allan Poe
13) John Steinbeck
14) Truman Capote
15) James Joyce
16) Charles Bukowski
17) Jack Kerouac
18) Tennessee Williams
19) John Cheever
20) Raymond Chandler
